Anita's quilts and quilting

A professional longarm machine quilter for hire and some of the work I've done.

Next one finished

The next quilt is finished.  There’s not a lot of quilting design to show you.  Everything is stitched in the ditch with mono thread.
The only place my stitching shows is on the border.  I did a simple swag design to give it just a little spice without overwhelming it.  The owner wanted very minimal quilting.  Anytime stitch in the ditch is the quilting it is called heavy custom.
I didn’t get much else done over the weekend unless you count re organizing my freezer.

LW, I can't wait to see either. (giggle) I have plans but plans have a way of changing all the time. All I know for sure is that I won't have to be very quiet anymore. If I want to turn the book on tape up loud and quilt away at 4 am it won't wake anyone up.

I love the swag quilting, it really gives a nice softness to the quilt.

Congratulations to your daughter and Ladybug for the new home!! I'll keep a good thought for all of the inspections and things– can't wait to see what you'll do with your free time.

Kathi, I'll also have more time for our MQF group. I've not read any of the emails for several days. Hope I can read a few today. I'm so looking forward to my getting my routines back.

Thanks Kathy. I was going to answer your question here but it would make a great post for my hints blog. I'll see if I can get it written today or tomorrow with some pictures.

What a nice quilt and you did a nice job on the quilting. I also have a longarm, but have not used the mono thread yet; I just ordered some though and want to give it a try. Any tips you want to share for using mono thread?

    Thanks in advance.
