Ok, a couple of days away but where did the time go? I really have done a lot of stuff this month despite the pain in my shoulder and elbow. (Bursitis) Not a lot of what I did is quilt related. I did finish this quilt.
I did straight lines on the outside border. This person really doesn’t want a lot of quilting done. I used a mono thread, at her request, so it doesn’t show up much.
She likes large designs that still compliment the quilt design. I did a swag design on the two inside borders.
On the pieced design I did a SID around the outer pieces. I did a rough outline of the tigers and a meandering in the background around them.
I did a meander with leaf design in the white areas. She wanted it to look like leaves blowing around in the wind.
I this table topper for the same person. She wanted only SID around the pieces and nothing else. I believe she told me she will add some hand stitching with embellishments to it.
I also did this table topper for her. As before, I did only SID and a rough outline of the characters.
I spent a few days with my mother who had another fall at the nursing home. She is difficult to handle when in the hospital and I’m the only one who can calm her down without heavy medication. They didn’t want to sedate her too heavily because of the goose egg bump on her head. I did have another quilt finished. It got away from me before getting its photo taken. I feel as if I haven’t accomplished anything this month. Hopefully October will be much more productive.
It looks to me like you had a very busy September. The quilts are beautiful and the quilts are getting done. Sorry to hear about your mom. Have things gotten better since you straightened them out as to who, you, are in charge of your mother? Cant wait to see the next finished quilt. Nancy
Yes, they are better. Thanks for asking.
