Anita's quilts and quilting

A professional longarm machine quilter for hire and some of the work I've done.

Ann’s snow people quilt

This is also Ann’s quilt.  It’s hand sewn embroidery designs of snow people.  So cute!

Quilts and quilting 2014 029I did a stitch in the ditch (SID) all along the embroidery lines.  I did a meandering wind design in the background to have the characters raise a little.  This has a wool batting which helped raise the characters.  I tried to keep the design loose and airy in order to keep the breath ability of the batting.

I did a simple leaf design on the side to side sashing.  Click the photo to see it larger.

So what’s a snow people quilt without a few mittens?  Well, that’s what I did on the border.  A line of lost and miss matched mittens.

I also sew the binding onto the front for Ann.  Oooo, so close.  She will have to add a tiny bit to the binding to finish it out.  That’s only about an inch plus seam allowances needed to finish it.

Thank you Ann.  These are on the way home to you.

Wow! This is gorgeous. I love your quilting. The mitten design in the border is genius!
