Bobby J’s fourth quilt is finished. It’s a snow ball quilt embroidered with the names of fabric stores she’s visited in different states.
I did a swag feather type design to carry the circles of the snowballs. Then a straight line design along the border. Then meandering on the snow balls.
Here is another view of the feather swag design. In this picture you can see the leaf design on the corner stones.
I put a different design in the corners. I wanted it to be kind of round too.
Here is another view of another corner.
This was an easy quilt to do. All of Bobby’s quilts are small and can be finished quickly.
I know that my computer is not just going to die on me because of the end of XP support but it sure is giving me fits today. Slow…. slow…. slow….. and getting slower. I ran three different security software on it this morning but it is still very slow. Maybe there are a lot of people connected to the internet at one time slowing down the system? Ok, it’s an irritation but nothing I can do about it now. I’ve got quilting to do anyway.
Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and reinstall Windows XP, and the two BIG service packs, and let it run on the Internet until it’s downloaded and installed all the other updates. The first thing to download, though, is a good anti-virus program and install it before you go any further. The whole procedure is time consuming and a PITA but computers usually run faster afterwards. (Be sure to back up your files to disks or an external hard drive before reinstalling because it all gets erased during the reinstall.)
Sigh, I believe you. I talked with the computer doc and just as soon as I can I’ll be upgrading with either newer software or a newer computer. I just have to get by for a couple of months to get caught up on the bills first. So keeping my fingers crossed that there won’t be any major problems until then.
HUGS. and the box is EN ROUTE…………………….AWESOME quilting. you make me feel like a SLUG………………sigh.
Got it today. Ladybug will be very happy. I’ll still be nervous. Thanks lil sis.
