Back in April I had what I thought was an episode with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Thinking back on it now it may have been an early sign of a serious kidney infection because most all of May and the first days of June I felt constantly tired and weak. I had emergency surgery a couple of weeks ago to remove 4 stones that were stuck in the tube running from the kidney to the bladder. Extremely painful situation!
Needless to say I didn’t get much quilting work done. I did some blogging on my pinching pennies blog but for only a few minutes every day or two to let folks know I’m still here. Thank goodness I had a few posts written in draft so all I needed do was polish them up to publish. Most of my time has been spent sleeping. I finished the antibiotic pills today and I’m feeling much better.
Yesterday I took a quilt off the machine that I had almost finished before I became ill. It needed only fifteen minutes work to complete. I put the next one on to start quilting tomorrow. I won’t be working very fast. Gotta get my sea legs back first. I’m going to chance using my blog again and see how things go. I like how it works and how it helps. I’ve updated the waiting list and put it back on the blog.
That’s about it for now. I’ll put photos of the finished quilts in some posts as soon as I can.
Anita, what a “medical adventure you have had!” I’m so very glad to hear that
the kidney stone situation has been resolved. Hope you will be feeling a little
better & stronger each day. It will take some time for you to regain more strength,
likely you realize. Take care,
Bev
So glad to know you are getting up and about again. Being sick stinks! I hope the remainder of your healing goes well. Don’t push yourself too hard.
Thank you Linda. I’m doing better every day.
