PIGS and PHD list

This is my new PIGS (projects in grocery sacks) and PHD (projects half done) list for 2016.

This photo list of unfinished quilts is a great visual memory aid for me.  I’m able to find the next project to work on without pulling out lots of containers to search through them.

#1 Dresden plate – inherited – vintage fabrics from probably the 1930 or 1940 era – backing already chosen – need to order batting

#2 Tulip applique – inherited – vintage – 17 blocks of approximately 14 X 14 size – blocks contain stains and smoke odor – will be washed before using

#3 Southern belle ladies applique – inherited – 10 blocks of approximately 20″ X 20″ size – blocks will be washed before completing the quilt – stains and smoke odor

#21 Vintage embroidery butterfly blocks – heavy smoke odor and discoloration – will wash before working with these

#22  vintage paper pieced crazy quilt – inherited – pieced on newspaper using a treadle machine – heavy smoke odor – some fabric so thin you can see through it – this one will a lot of work to complete.
