Anita's quilts and quilting

A semi-retired professional longarm machine quilter

Quilt finished

In between all the preserving of foods lately, and four days away from home last week, I did manage to finish a quilt.  She brought a verigated thread to use on the front.

I did a feather design on the outside border.

I did a swag design on the inside border and the circle lord swirls design in the center area of the quilt.

I used a matching thread for the back.  It’s impossible to match a verigated thread color on top to a verigated thread color on the back.  It shows up as a line of polka dots on both sides.  Not good.  It’s better to use a solid on the back for a better look.

I have the next quilt on the machine and have it about three quarters of the way stabilized.  I hope to have it finished in a couple of days.

I love her fabric choices, and I love how the quilting echoes the curves.

Thank you. That’s what I thought when I did the CL swirls.
